Podiatrist Ashgrove

Providing foot care to Ashgrove residents since 1996

Experienced Podiatrists Ashgrove

In Ashgrove, the feet do their share of the work — hilly back streets, the pull up to Mt Coot-tha when the weather's right, and weekends weaving between Dorrington Park and the cafes along the Avenue. All that movement is good for general fitness, but sometimes your feet may need some help.

That's where we come in. Foot Health Clinic is an easy trip north for plenty of our Ashgrove patients — just a short drive along Samford Road. Four podiatrists with over 110 years of combined experience, looking after Ashgrove families at every stage of life.

Foot Care for All Ages

Feet change over a lifetime, and that means podiatry needs to do more than diagnose and treat the presenting problem — it needs to align treatment with a person's stage in life. We see kids starting prep with growing pains, teens and adults juggling sport, work and family life, and older adults who want to keep walking comfortably and stay balanced for years to come. Each stage calls for a different approach. Between our four podiatrists — Leah, Granville, Oliver and Kim — there's over 110 years of combined experience in the clinic, so whoever comes through the door finds someone who's seen it before and can help.

Treatment Options

We offer a complete range of podiatry services for kids, families, and active adventurers. Here are the main treatments we provide:

  • Ingrown Nail Surgery

Painful, red, and recurring ingrown toenails don’t need to become an ongoing frustration. We provide a full range of effective treatment options, including VHO and Onyfix nail bracing, routine nail care, and permanent partial nail removal surgery (wedge resection) for long-term relief.

  • Fungal Laser Treatment

Our Lunula cold laser is a clean, painless way to treat stubborn fungal nails. No heat, no chemicals — just regular sessions at the clinic and steady improvement over time.

  • Plantar Fasciitis Treatment

With tailored plantar fasciitis care, we assess the factors contributing to your heel pain and provide treatment suited to your needs.

  • Physical Therapy

Soft tissue restrictions can leave your feet and ankles feeling stiff, tight, and restricted. Hands-on therapy, stretching, and targeted strengthening exercises can help restore movement and reduce discomfort. We combine foot mobilisation therapy, shockwave treatment, and tailored rehabilitation programs to help you move more freely and get back to doing what you enjoy.

  • Custom Orthotics

When feet are not functioning in an efficient or stable position, excessive strain can be placed on muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. Custom foot orthotics designed and manufactured onsite can help improve foot alignment and support more efficient movement, reducing strain on injured tissues and helping recovery progress more effectively.

  • Active Adventurers

For Ashgrove locals who love being out in nature — the Mt Coot-tha tracks, Brisbane Forest Park, the wider D'Aguilar Range — we help you stay walking, hiking, and running without picking up an injury along the way.

Podiatry Questions from Ashgrove Residents

About 20 minutes — north to Samford Road at Mitchelton, then out through Keperra and Ferny Grove. Plenty of Ashgrove patients tell us it's an easier run than expected, and parking is free right out the front of the clinic.

AbsolutelyWe're happy to take a look at orthotics made elsewhere — sometimes a small adjustment is all that's needed, and sometimes a fresh assessment helps work out whether they're still doing what they should.

Yes — heel pain in a sporty child is worth getting looked at. It's often related to stresses on growing bones. The appointment is calm and unhurried, and we'll explain what's going on in a way that makes sense to both of you.

Comfortable, well-fitted footwear does most of the heavy lifting, but the small things matter too: rotating between two pairs of shoes, stretching the calves, and noticing early when something doesn't feel right. If you're already getting persistent aches, it's worth having things checked out — work-related foot pain can be persistent and we can help.

In some cases, yes. If you have a chronic condition, your GP may refer you under a GP Care Plan, which provides Medicare rebates for a set number of podiatry visits per year. Private health funds with extras cover usually rebate for Podiatry appointments — we have HICAPS on site so you can claim on the spot.
