NDIS podiatry at Foot Health Clinic

Helping you feel more comfortable, confident and supported on your feet.

At Foot Health Clinic, we help people with disability care for their feet, improve comfort and mobility, and feel more confident in everyday activities. Our experienced Brisbane Northside podiatrists take the time to understand your needs and provide practical, individualised care that supports your goals.

We welcome eligible NDIS participants with self-managed or plan-managed funding. Depending on your disability-related needs and the supports available in your plan, podiatry care can include foot-health assessments, regular foot care, mobility support, exercise programs, orthotics, bracing and medical-grade footwear.

Our podiatrists work with you, your family and your support team to develop a clear care plan focused on comfort, safety, independence and participation.

Using your NDIS funding

Our services are available to eligible self-managed and plan-managed participants when podiatry is disability-related and appropriate under the participant's plan. If you are unsure, your plan manager, support coordinator or my NDIS contact can help you check. Foot Health Clinic is not a registered NDIS provider, so NDIA-managed funding cannot be used for our services.

How our podiatrists can help

We offer a broad range of podiatry services to help manage disability-related foot-care needs, support mobility and make everyday activities more comfortable.

General foot and toenail care

If your disability makes it difficult to see, reach or safely care for your feet, our podiatrists can help with toenails, callus, corns, heel cracks and other ongoing foot-care needs. Regular care can help keep your feet comfortable and reduce the risk of avoidable problems.

Diabetes-related foot care

For participants whose disability affects their ability to manage diabetes-related foot-care needs, we can provide foot-health assessments, circulation and sensation checks, pressure-care advice, ulcer-prevention strategies and appropriate footwear or orthotic recommendations.

Arthritis foot care

Arthritis can make walking, footwear and day-to-day foot care more difficult. Where these needs are disability-related, we can help improve comfort, reduce pressure on sensitive areas and recommend practical strategies to support mobility.

Medical-grade footwear, orthotics and bracing

The right support can make a meaningful difference to comfort, stability and confidence. We assess your individual needs and can recommend custom orthotics, medical-grade or custom footwear, splints, braces and AFOs to support disability-related mobility and participation goals.

Falls prevention, balance and stability

Comfortable, well-supported feet are an important part of safe movement. We can assess foot function, footwear, strength and flexibility, then develop practical strategies or a home exercise program to support balance, stability and mobility.

Physical Therapy for Feet

Physical therapy for foot and ankle pain

Our podiatrists use a range of physical therapies, including foot mobilisation, dry needling, low-level light laser, splinting and strapping. When clinically appropriate and connected with your disability-related goals, these treatments can help improve comfort and movement.

Neuromuscular conditions

We support people with conditions such as Parkinson's disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and multiple sclerosis. Care can include gait and footwear assessment, orthotics, bracing and strategies designed to improve comfort, stability and confidence on your feet.

Autism and children's podiatry

Some children with autism experience toe walking, balance or coordination difficulties, or find footwear and foot care challenging. Our podiatrists provide a calm, individualised assessment and practical recommendations that take each child's needs, comfort and goals into account.

Planning your appointment

Our approach

Your first appointment gives us time to understand your foot-health concerns, how your disability affects everyday activities and what you would like to achieve. We complete a thorough assessment, discuss suitable treatment options and develop a practical plan of care with you. Where helpful, we can also work alongside family members, carers, support coordinators and other health professionals.

A Clear Service Agreement

As part of our clinic process, we provide a service agreement outlining the podiatry services you have chosen, appointment arrangements, fees and review arrangements. It gives you and your support team clear information about how we will work together.

2 Meet your podiatrist We will listen to your concerns, assess your feet and movement, and discuss the goals that matter to you.
3 Start your care plan Your podiatrist will explain the recommended services, costs and next steps so you can make an informed decision and begin care with confidence.

A note about NDIS Funding

NDIS funding for podiatry depends on the support being disability-related, an NDIS support and appropriate under your individual plan. Registration rules and provider requirements can change, so please check current NDIS guidance or speak with your plan manager, support coordinator or my NDIS contact if you are unsure.
