Conditions We Treat

Heel Pain Plantar Fasciitis.jpg

Heel Pain / Plantar Fasciitis

Heel and arch pain is usually the result of faulty foot biomechanics and poor foot posture. Abnormal foot function places too much stress on the heel bone and the soft tissues that attach to it. This increased stress causes local inflammation and pain.

Ingrown Toenail.jpg

Ingrown Toenails

Ingrown Toenails involve the removal of the ingrown portion of the toenail, together with the corresponding portion of nail root, and the application of a chemical to prevent that portion of the toenail from regrowing.

Fungal Nail

Fungal Toenails

Fungal infection of the toenail (or oncyhomycosis) is a common foot health problem, causing embarrassing unsightly, thickened, discoloured nails.

Other Conditions.jpg

Other Conditions

Foot Health Clinic can also help with the following conditions: Arthritis, heel spurs, tendonitis, knee pain, bunions, corns & calluses, curly toes, high arch feet and neuroma.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Your podiatry appointment will start with a discussion about your foot and ankle problems and any appropriate medical history associated with the problem. This is followed by a physical examination and an assessment of your region of concern. Your Podiatrist will then discuss the likely diagnosis and factors contributing to the problem and formulate a plan with you. Time permitting treatment may begin at the initial consultation, however, this will depend on the presentation

The number of visits required and frequency of appointments will depend entirely on the condition you’re being treated for. After your initial assessment, your podiatrist will likely provide a rough outline of how often you may need to visit. In terms of general checkups, you should visit your local podiatry clinic whenever something of concern comes up.

Heel spurs and other forms of heel pain are some of the most common conditions we treat here at Foot Health Clinic. Treatment options for heel spurs can include footwear changes, strapping and taping, orthotics, dry needling, lifestyle advice, and shockwave therapy.

While it might not seem as though podiatry care is the solution to your back pain, this may actually be the case. Problems in your feet and ankles can affect the structure and health of your legs and spine, sometimes causing severe pain in the lower back.
